Collabstr alternatives for brands: pay per view, not per post

Seven Collabstr alternatives for brands, compared by how you pay and the least you can spend. Every price comes from the company's own site, read on October 5, 2026. Where Collabstr still wins is here too.

In short

Collabstr is worth it when you want one known creator at a listed price: the Free plan has no subscription and adds a 10% hiring fee. The main alternatives are Billo and JoinBrands for UGC videos you can use in ads, Insense for UGC plus partnership ads, Content Rewards for paying per view from a $1,000 budget, and Modash or GRIN if you run outreach yourself. On aimviews you pay per 1,000 counted views from a $10 budget, with a hard cap, and views past your target cost $0.

What Collabstr charges in 2026

Collabstr is a marketplace. Creators list packages at prices they set, and you pay a hiring fee on top. The subscription decides the fee and whether you can post campaigns.

PlanPriceHiring feeWhat it adds
Free$010%Search 1.2m+ creators, hire from profiles, escrow
Pro$299 a month, or $249 a month billed yearly10%1 campaign a month, chat before hiring, live analytics on 5 posts
Premium$399 a month, or $333 a month billed yearly5%Unlimited campaigns, live analytics on 15 posts
EnterpriseFrom $1,000 a month, annual contractNot listedSub-accounts, team seats, white label reports

From Collabstr's pricing page, read October 5, 2026. Creators pay a separate 15% fee on their payout.

The creator's own price comes on top of the plan. Collabstr's 2026 report, built from more than 21,000 collaborations on its marketplace in 2025, puts the average paid per collaboration at $186 on TikTok, $193 on Instagram, $255 on YouTube and $154 for UGC. Nearly 80% of collaborations cost under $300 (read October 5, 2026).

Is Collabstr worth it?

For one kind of buyer, yes. If you know which creator you want, can read their listed price, and want the money held in escrow until you approve the work, the Free plan does that with no subscription. Usage rights are agreed with each creator; chatting before you hire needs Pro.

It is weaker in three cases:

  • You can't predict the views. The price is fixed before the post goes up. A post that gets 2,000 views costs the same as one that gets 200,000.
  • You want creators to come to you. Posting a campaign brief needs Pro, at $299 a month, before you pay any creator.
  • You want many small tests. Each one is a full package price plus the fee.

Read October 5, 2026: Billo (its pricing page needs a sign-in, so this figure is from Billo's own October 1, 2026 article), Insense, JoinBrands, Content Rewards terms (updated October 4, 2026), Modash, GRIN. Prices change often, so check before you buy.

The alternatives, one by one

Billo: per video, for ad creative

Billo is built for ad creative: videos from $99 each, bought in packs, with no required subscription. It can also have creators post on their own profiles. Either way, you pay per video, not per view.

Insense: a subscription plus a marketplace fee

Insense starts with a trial month from $650 for up to 10 creators at a 20% fee, then moves to the Brand plan at $1,500 a quarter with a 10% fee, unless you cancel 48 hours before the trial ends. Creator pay is not included. Insense lists UGC from $100 per video and sponsored posts from $125 for nano influencers. Creators grant you full digital rights once the content is approved and paid for.

JoinBrands: low prices per video, rights included

UGC videos, Reels, Shorts and TikTok videos start at $25, and every purchase comes with unlimited usage rights. The Free plan charges a 15% fee and covers content only. Having the creator also post it on their own account needs a paid plan, from $99 a month.

Content Rewards: per view, $1,000 minimum

The clipping and UGC marketplace that began inside Whop now runs its own app and uses Whop for payments. You pay per 1,000 views it verifies, or a flat amount per approved clip, with a $1,000 minimum budget either way. Unspent budget is refundable, but its terms allow a discretionary hold of up to 20% of the unspent amount. It is the closest model to aimviews. The differences: a $1,000 minimum against $10, and a focus on clipping, which aimviews does not run.

Modash and GRIN: software, you do the work

Both are tools, not marketplaces. Modash searches 380M+ profiles and starts at $199 a month on a yearly plan. GRIN has a free plan, with paid plans from $200 a month. You still find creators, agree rates and pay them yourself. That suits a team with time, and it is the same trade-off as weighing influencer agency fees against running it yourself.

Where Collabstr still wins

  • You choose the exact creator, from 1.2m+ profiles, and see their price before you talk.
  • Usage rights are agreed per deal. On aimviews, creators keep ownership, and the campaign brief states what usage rights you receive.
  • Physical products. Collabstr orders can include shipping the creator a physical product, or gifted products as extra pay (Collabstr help). aimviews does not support products that need shipping yet.
  • More platforms. Collabstr also covers Twitch, Amazon and X. aimviews covers YouTube, Instagram and TikTok.
  • Track record. Collabstr's 2026 report covers more than 21,000 collaborations from 2025. aimviews is pre-launch.

Pay per view with a hard budget cap

On aimviews you set a price per 1,000 views, from $0.20, and a budget, from $10. Your budget divided by your price is your view target. You pay only for views the platforms count, and only views a post earns after it joins your campaign. Spending stops at the target, and views past it cost $0. A person checks every post against your brief before any money moves.

  • Three deal types: a logo or branded frame, a spoken mention, or a dedicated video about your app or online service. No clipping, no music deals.
  • Or a flat price per approved post, from $2 a post and at least $10 in total, paid whatever the views.
  • The fee is inside your price. Creators get 80% of what you pay. Nothing is added on top.
  • Refunds. Unspent budget is refundable on request, less payment processing costs. If no creator joins within 30 days of going live, you can ask for the full remaining budget back.
  • Choosing creators. Creators opt in from a public board, or you share an invite-only link. The creator browser lists average views per post, read off public profiles by our team.

Worked example: $500 two ways

Example math, not a forecast. On Collabstr's Free plan, two TikTok collaborations at the $186 average plus the 10% fee cost $204.60 each, so $409.20. You pay that whatever views the posts get.

On aimviews, $500 at $1.00 per 1,000 counted views gives a 500,000-view target.

Counted viewsYou payWhat happens
150,000$150$350 refundable on request
500,000$500Spending stops at the target
1,200,000$500700,000 views cost $0, about $0.42 per 1,000 overall

A flat fee is the better buy when the post beats a break-even point:

Break-even views = flat price ÷ your price per 1,000 views × 1,000

At $1.00 per 1,000, the $204.60 collaboration breaks even at 204,600 views. At $3.00, our suggested starting price for a spoken mention, it is 68,200 views. If you know a creator's posts reliably beat that, pay the flat fee. If you don't, paying per view moves the risk off you. The calculator runs your own numbers.

Which one fits

  • One known creator, a listed price: Collabstr.
  • Video for your own ads: Billo, JoinBrands or Insense. JoinBrands and Insense state the usage rights on their pricing pages.
  • Clipping on $1,000 or more: Content Rewards.
  • A team to run outreach: Modash or GRIN.
  • A small test, paying only for counted views: aimviews. See what influencer marketing costs per post and per view before you set a price.

The fine print: aimviews is pre-launch. Campaigns open in small groups, and a person confirms each one before it goes live. Views are reach, not sales, so give creators your own UTM link or discount code and judge the campaign on what converts.

Questions people ask

Is Collabstr worth it for a small brand?

It is if you want one specific creator and can judge their listed price: the Free plan has no subscription, adds a 10% hiring fee, and holds your payment in escrow until you approve the work. It is less useful if you cannot predict a creator's views, because the price is fixed before the post goes up, or if you want to post a campaign brief, which needs Pro at $299 a month.

What does Collabstr charge brands?

On October 5, 2026 its pricing page listed Free at $0 with a 10% hiring fee, Pro at $299 a month ($249 billed yearly) with a 10% fee, Premium at $399 a month ($333 billed yearly) with a 5% fee, and Enterprise from $1,000 a month on an annual contract. The creator's own package price comes on top.

Which Collabstr alternatives pay creators per view?

Content Rewards pays per 1,000 views it verifies, with a $1,000 minimum budget and a 10% platform fee (8% if verified). aimviews charges your price per 1,000 counted views, from $0.20, with a $10 minimum budget, a hard cap, and the fee inside your price.

Do I get usage rights to the content?

It depends on the platform. On Collabstr usage rights are agreed with each creator. JoinBrands includes unlimited usage rights with every purchase, and Insense creators grant full digital rights once content is approved and paid for. On aimviews, creators keep ownership of their posts and the campaign brief states what usage rights you receive.

Is paying per view cheaper than paying per post?

Only when the post would have fallen short of the break-even point: the flat price divided by your price per 1,000 views, times 1,000. A $204.60 collaboration breaks even at 204,600 views at $1.00 per 1,000. If a creator reliably beats that, the flat fee is cheaper. If you can't tell, paying per view means views that never happen cost $0.
